Center for Excellence in Disability West Virginia University
For nearly 30 years, the Center has worked with consumers, state, local, and federal agencies to realize opportunities and tackle and overcome challenges for people with developmental and other disabilities of all ages. CED is West Virginia's only federally designated Center for Excellence in Disabilities providing resources and supports in all fifty-five counties of the state.

Disability Rights of  West Virginia
is the federally mandated protection and advocacy system for people with disabilities in West Virginia. DRWV is a private, nonprofit agency. Their services are confidential and free of charge.

The Arc of the Mid Ohio Valley
Since 1955, The Arc of the Mid Ohio Valley has been dedicated to ensuring a satisfying and productive life for children and adults with intellectual, cognitive, and related developmental disabilities by providing programs and services that enable, empower, and encourage them to live, learn, work, worship, and play in their community....along with their peers and neighbors!

The Arc of the Three Rivers is a private, non-profit behavioral organization founded in 1952. The Arc is an organization consisting of clients, employees, families, volunteers, interns, Board members, Directors, members, advisory council members, donors, benefactors, supporters, and friends.

The Arc of West Virginia implements People First of West Virginia, a program that develops self-advocacy skills in individuals with developmental disabilities, and encourages and empowers them to speak up and out for themselves.

The West Virginia Division of Rehabilitation Services (DRS)
The West Virginia Division of Rehabilitation Services (DRS) helps people with disabilities establish and reach their vocational goals. The primary goal for all DRS clients is to become productive working citizens.

West Virginia Alliance for Sustainable Families (WVASF)
The WV Alliance for Sustainable Families (WVASF) was organized in December of 1996 under the name of the West Virginia Welfare Reform Coalition (WVWRC). It was created to initiate action in the areas of research, education, advocacy, and coalition building to ensure that West Virginia’s citizens, communities, and organizations successfully implement welfare reform.

WVATS helps to improve access to and acquisition of assistive technology (AT) in the areas of Employment, Information Technology & Telecommunications, Education and, Community Living.

The Mission of the WV State ADA Office is to ensure ALL West Virginia Citizens have the opportunity to actively, fully and equally participate in all state government activities and programs.

West Virginia Parent & Information, Inc.

West Virginia Parent Training and Information, Inc. (WVPTI) is a non-profit agency that operates the statewide federally funded Parent Training and Information Center, Family to Family (F2F) Health Information Center and is the Family Voices State Affiliate Organization for West Virginia.

The programs and services of WVPTI, Inc. are based on the concept of parents helping parents. Our mission is to empower parents of children and youth with disabilities in their roles as parents, decision makers, and advocates for their children and to promote partnerships among parents and professionals.

West Virginia State Rehabilitation Council (SRC)
The West Virginia State Rehabilitation Council (SRC) is comprised of twenty-six members appointed by the Governor. The SRC was formed as a result of the 1992 amendments to the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. The SRC was originally named the West Virginia State Rehabilitation Advisory Council, but the term "advisory" was deleted by the 1998 amendments to the Rehabilitation Act. The amendments to the Rehabilitation Act mandate that a majority of Council members shall be individuals with disabilities and not employed by the WV Division of Rehabilitation Services (DRS).

West Virginia Statewide Independent Living Council (SILC)
The independent living philosophy is one of consumer control, peer support, self-help, self-determination, equal access, and individual and systems advocacy in order to maximize the leadership, empowerment, independence, and productivity of individuals with disabilities, and the integration and full inclusion of individuals with disabilities into the mainstream of society.
